Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 12, 2026
What this policy covers
This policy explains how First Measure collects, uses, stores, and protects information submitted through this website and related service processes.
Information we collect
When you contact First Measure or submit the portfolio intake form, we may collect information such as your name, email address, professional background, résumé or CV, portfolio preferences, project details, and other information you choose to provide.
We may also receive basic technical information associated with a website visit, such as browser or device information, where provided by the website or service providers we use.
How we use information
We use submitted information to evaluate a portfolio project, communicate with you, prepare portfolio content and designs, deliver services, and provide support related to your project.
We do not sell the personal information you submit to us.
Third-party services
First Measure may use third-party services to receive intake submissions, communicate with clients, organize project materials, process payments, support AI-assisted work, develop and test websites, maintain source control, publish portfolios, manage domains or access controls, and provide related services. These providers may include form, email, cloud-storage, AI-assisted, software-development, source-control, hosting, domain, and payment-service providers, including Tally and connected Google services.
Information processed through these services may also be governed by the provider's applicable privacy policy, terms, security practices, and account settings.
AI-Assisted Processing
First Measure may use third-party AI-assisted tools and related software services to help analyze, organize, draft, design, develop, test, and quality-review portfolio materials. Information submitted by a client may be processed through these services when reasonably necessary to provide the purchased services.
Third-party providers process information under their applicable terms, privacy practices, security controls, and account settings. First Measure uses reasonable data-minimization, access-control, redaction, and review practices appropriate to the project. Clients should not submit passwords, Social Security numbers, payment-card details, financial-account credentials, medical records, or other highly sensitive information through portfolio intake or normal project channels.
AI-assisted processing does not change First Measure's evidence-integrity requirements or authorize publication of client materials without the approvals required by the applicable agreement.
Minors and Guardian-Submitted Information
First Measure does not knowingly contract directly with a minor. Portfolio intake forms and service requests involving a person under eighteen must be submitted or authorized by that person's parent or legal guardian. A parent or guardian must approve the portfolio's content and access model before publication.
Individuals under eighteen should not independently submit personal information, photographs, videos, school information, contact information, or other portfolio materials through First Measure intake forms. A parent or guardian who wishes to review, correct, or request deletion of a minor's non-public information may contact First Measure at hello@thefirstmeasure.com.
If First Measure learns that personal information was submitted directly by a child without appropriate parent or guardian involvement, First Measure may suspend processing and take reasonable steps to delete the information or obtain appropriate authorization.
Résumés and professional materials
Please provide only information you are comfortable sharing for the purpose of evaluating and producing your portfolio. Do not submit Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, passwords, or other highly sensitive information through the portfolio intake form.
Retention and deletion
We retain client information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, or support legitimate business needs. You may contact us to request deletion of information that is not required to be retained.
Security
We take reasonable steps to limit access to client information and use appropriate safeguards for the systems we control. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.
Updates
We may update this policy as the business, technology, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
